To the First International Congress of
PEACE THROUGH CULTURE

These messages provide a good tool for study of the Wheel. They also provide a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the School of Wisdom, and one International Congress which some of its members attended.
In 1973 a new World Peace Movement known as "PEACE THROUGH CULTURE" or "SPIRITUAL UNITY" was emerging from the former Soviet Union and rapidly spreading throughout the world. The goal of the group is to preserve and promote world peace through common spiritual and ethical values, rather than political processes.
PEACE THROUGH CULTURE held its first International Peace Conference in Alma Ata, Kazakhstan in October 1993. It was a significant event attended by delegates from all over the world. All of the major religious, philosophic and cultural groups attended this Congress. Thier goal was to unite to mobilize a transformation of society through culture and consciousness. Arnold Keyserling was a keynote speaker at the Congress. Representatives of the School of Wisdom in Florida also attended the Congress and submitted the following Messages prepared by R.C.L. based upon The Wheel. Shortly after the congress a branch of the School of Wisdom was established in Alma Ata, the second to open in a former Soviet Republic.
These messages can help you to deepen your understanding of The Wheel. They Messages show how the Wheel can be used as a tool to make any presentation holistic, one that touches upon all aspects of culture. This example is transparent, and shows the structure for teaching purposes. It is also linear, going counter-clockwise, from the first sector, Soul-Willing to Spirit-Feeling. You may wish to vary the order, and not be so obvious about the structure.
GREETINGS to you from the SCHOOL OF WISDOM in Florida, U.S.A.. From our studies of Arnold Keyserling, and others, we would like to share the following thoughts or Messages to guide us all along the Path of transformational living. These thoughts are based on the universal structure of understanding which is at the heart of the work of Arnold Keyserling. Our common goal is to use this objective structure, referred to by Keyserling as THE WHEEL, as a vehicle for common understanding to bring together the many cultures of the World and at the same time preserve the great cultural diversity and plentitude which is our common heritage. It is to this end, Peace through Culture, that the following Messages are dedicated.
1-7 Soul-Willing/Soul-Thinking. We join with you in a common cause to attain a free and just world society based not on boundaries, politics and nationalism, but on a holistic vision of a common planet Earth with balanced laws to protect individual rights to self organization on all levels of nature.
2-8 Body-Sensing/Body-Feeling. We too believe that the solution to the present world crisis will grow out of Culture, that liberation is grounded in beauty, and must be courageously announced and eternally started anew.
3-9 Spirit-Thinking/Spirit-Willing. Both modern science and the ancient traditions can guide us to peace and culture if we understand their spiritual significance, their place in the holistic vision, and use them with wisdom.
4-10 Soul-Feeling/Soul-Sensing. Psychology based on transcendent spiritual experience can also help us be peaceful and loving with our families and friends, and this will in turn transform the groups, companies and organizations in which we work and avoid the bureaucratic morass.
5-11 Body-Willing/Body-Thinking. Teachings, methods and tools of consciousness are available in abundance from all world cultures to help us on our Way, but they require training and effort to master the necessary skills to use them.
6-12 Spirit-Sensing/Spirit-Feeling. Gainful employment by all adults, not just to earn a living on a material level, but also to realize our full human potential, is the new ideal of our age; all political and religious dogmas and doctrines should be replaced by constructive inner and outer work, both in the world and on yourself.
7-1 Soul-Thinking/Soul-Willing. The just and free world based on our common place in the Universe which we all strive for must be clearly articulated, and action based on our understanding must begin in our respective localities to awaken our neighbors from their sleep of cultural consensus.
8-2 Body-Feeling/Body-Sensing. Let us go forward together in confidence to begin positive new cultural ventures to attack the crises we are now in, unafraid of the sometimes bewildering rapidity and seeming chaos of change, nor of those who are stuck in the disappearing past who will try and oppose our initiatives.
9-3 Spirit-Willing/Spirit-Thinking. Our common aim is the restoration of our Mother Earth to harmony and continuation of our evolution to the stars.
10-4 Soul-Sensing/Soul-Feeling. Together our strength and inspiration will multiply as we network and organize; meeting with each other both in public and at home, in global congresses such as this one, and in other smaller, and more intimate gatherings.
11-5 Body-Thinking/Body-Willing. As the work of Arnold Keyserling, and others, have shown there is a common structure to reality, a common denominator which unites all of the seemingly contradictory cultures and spiritual traditions of the world; let us use the common elements to unite and go forward in peace to create a New Earth.
12-6 Spirit-Feeling/Spirit-Sensing. A new holistic spiritual vision is here now for all to tap into and heal the troubled world; it is up to all of us to apprehend it and work together in creativity to bring it into reality.
